Benjamin Golub is the one man show behind tweet2tweet, rssmeme, and most recently fftogo (friendfeed to go). Interestingly enough Ben wrote all these apps with python and django. Maybe even more interesting is that two of the three apps run on Google App Engine(GAE).
We discussed the projects he's working on and any obstacles he ran into using Google App Engine, and working with the various APIs, and then flowed into discussions about how people use these apps, etc. We also tried to keep it at 15minutes and it ran 45minutes (yikes). This is my first one, so please provide tips, suggestions, etc. I'm looking to create these once a week if possible. Let me know what you think!
HIWD (howiworkdaily) callcasts were inspired by Dave Winer's shared pownce skype conversations he records with various people discussing various subjects, mostly politics. I loved the low-fi, unedited flow of the cast and thought it would be a great way to generate conversations with interesting people.
